What happened?
Following the previous announcement, progress has been focused on finalising development workflows, and finishing the backend, rather than immediately jumping into developing features;. This is so once development begins on modules, it is as easy as possible for developers to develop, and for features to be tested. Our backend infrastructure has been set up to enable command registering, graceful shutdowns, and an API to allow for development of the web panel and dashboard. What is going to happen?
Over the coming weeks, development will begin on the modules we believe are vital to Ducky; e.g. ERLC Integration, Session, et cetera. Internally, features will be rolled out in groups, rather than all at once, to both lighten the load for our developers, and allow for more thorought testing by Quality Assurance. Additionally, we have decided to leave behind one module; Server Economy. At the moment, this is the only module we are leaving behind, however that decision is subject to change. We are recruiting more developers(see below), and development on features is beginning. Can I help?
Yes! If you are a developer, experienced with javascript/typescript, and able to collaborate and work well in a team, then we are looking for you; If you are interested in this position, please DM @bobbibonesreal with the following;- Your age and timezone
- How you got into development
- How you found ducky
- Have you used Ducky, and if so, where
- Examples of your own code in javascript or typescript; the code should be fully created by you. Multiple examples are preferred, and full projects are even better!
Weekly updates?
Unfortunately, this weekβs progress update was a bit behind; we will aim to have a progress update released every week, however due to commitments from both myself, and other developers, it will not be on a set day. Progress updates will be released in a maximum of 10 days from the previous progress updateβs release. π Thank you for your patience and support as we work hard to deliver a new era of Ducky- Damon - Communications Manager
